THE PIANO TEACHERS CONGRESS AWARDS A CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT TO THE YOUNG PIANIST FOR DEMONSTRATING EXCELLENCE, MUSICIANSHIP AND DIVERSITY IN PIANO PERFORMANCE

Young pianists who participate in three PTC performance events are eligible to earn the Triple Star Achievement Award*
Application Due:
September 1, 2026 - February 1, 2027
Applications are accepted during this time period. Decision letters are sent within two weeks of submission of the completed application.
Awards Ceremony:
Sunday, February 21, 2027 at the Young Artist Recital
Pianists who receive award letters are honored with a medal and Certificate of Achievement at the Young Artist Recital, which takes place at RESSONA Recital Hall, 306 West 38th St, 17th floor, New York City.
Application Requirements
*Important! In order to receive the Triple Star Achievement Award, pianists must perform at the Young Artist Recital during or before their Junior year of High School.
In additional to the Young Artist Recital, which is required, pianists participate in two performance events from this list:
- Fall Piano Recitals or Spring Piano Recitals
- Masterclass
- Piano Plus!
- Honors Program Auditions
- 20/21 Century Piano Festival
How to Apply
- Complete the online application.
- Email program scans to ptc.triplestar@gmail.com. Applications are considered complete once the program scans are received.
- Decision letters will be sent within two weeks of completed application.
Seniors! If you have already performed at the Young Artist Recital and are short one performance event on your application, you may pledge one future performance, which must be completed before the end of the PTC performance season.
