This presentation will address considerations of the relationship between music and learning, and how the seven sensory domains may interact to pose challenges to the acquisition of music learning. Engaging in musical performance may be challenging for some students with disabilities. A lesson structure providing as many access points into music learning as possible will be presented. With simple accommodations, these experiences may be made more accessible for students with disabilities. Real-life examples including videos will be shared, as well as insights on how to plan student performances.
