Gerald (Gerry) Shea is not a piano teacher, nor even a pianist. He became active in the PTC through his wife Beverly who is a past President of the PTC and is indeed a piano teacher. Gerry has served the PTC as Parliamentarian and Assistant Treasurer; he led the effort to restore its Internal Revenue 501(c)(3) non-profit status after a change in IRS policy in 2010. Gerry has a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Cornell University and taught and consulted in statistics and probability for thirty years. In retirement, he serves as Vice-President and Operating Treasurer of the Musical Club of Westfield (New Jersey).
