Brittany Florenz
Brittany Florenz is a pianist and educator based in New York City. Her work is driven by a passion for creativity and teaching, and she enjoys weaving her diverse interests and skills into everything she does.
Ms. Florenz has performed solo and chamber music in the U.S. and abroad. She has over 12 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels, and she manages her own private piano studio. She is a co-founder of the Intermezzo Musicianship Festival — a music theory and history intensive — where she taught music theory and history classes and collaborated with her colleagues to develop the Festival’s curriculum and materials. Her teaching career has also included roles as an adjunct piano instructor at NYU and as a piano teacher at many community music schools across New York City.
As an arts administrator, she has managed the implementation of an annual music competition, several concert series, and other special events.
In addition to her work as an educator and administrator, Ms. Florenz is also a photographer whose portraits and performance photography have been featured in music publications, promotional materials, and on CD covers.
Ms. Florenz holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she received the CIM Presidential Merit Award, and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from NYU, where she received the Steinhardt Music Talent Scholarship.
